CASITAS ROWING GIVES BACK:
VENTURA, CARPINTERIA, SANTA PAULA, FILLMORE, and OJAI kids get to row for no cost this summer…. thanks to the generosity of the NAMES FAMILY FOUNDATION.
*First week camp no cost, talk to wendy about additional camps and options.
Students from outside areas welcome at a regular rate of $150 per week.

Casitas Rowing is excited to offer this to our local students this summer!
All summer camps are free for student athletes grades 6th - 12th from Ventura and Ojai Unified School Districts.

Beginner and Intermediate camps for rowers and coxswains.
INTRO to Rowing - Level 1
We cover rowing terminology, boat handling and general rowing technique so athletes can work on balancing the boat while rowing, and learning how to propel the boat forward. Scullers are in our more stable training boats. The last day we have racing.
INTERMEDIATE Rowing - Level 2
PREREQUISITE: Must have taken the level 1 class or, have been a member on our recreational development team during the school year. We work more on getting people in equipment matched with their skill level. We have faster boats that are more challenging, as people technique develops. There is additional focus on developing elements to help people race.
ADVANCED Rowing - Level 3 Participation in this summer group is with coach approval. Completion of at least one year of competitive / travel team required.

** Private Lessons are available to all athletes.
Sometimes once people get started they feel like they want some private coaching from an instructor to improve, we can set up 60: or 90: minute lessons with an instructor. Lessons can be for one athlete at a time or two athletes in a double. We recommend doing the group camps first though.
