ADAPTIVE ROWING
WHAT IS ADAPTIVE ROWING?
Adaptive rowing is a sport that allows people with disabilities or impairments to row competitively and recreationally. Our program provides individuals with physical, sensory, and cognitive challenges an opportunity to be a part of a rowing community.
Our staff are highly trained and experienced in working with differently-abled athletes, and providing a high-challenge and support environment to help all participants succeed. Through the sport of rowing, people of all abilities learn to take positive risks, develop confidence and become successful athletes. We provide the equipment and coaches.
Freedom rows for disabled veterans at Lake Casitas
Casitas Rowing is partnered with Freedom Rows, a program that provides grant funding to organizations to increase and expand adaptive sport activities. Disabled veterans and members of the Armed Forces have opportunities to participate in physical activity within their home communities, as well as Paralympic and adaptive sport programs at regional and national levels.
